Timeless Family Photos in East Sussex

It’s late May and everything is green and abundant. The first roses have started to open and the woods are bursting with life. There is something so magical about this time of year. After a long wet winter we’re finally allowed to take a deep breath and let go of a few layers of clothing.

I’ve been taking my morning coffee outside, barefoot and watching the bluetits flying back and forth to their nest in our rambling rose that grows up the front of the house. It got me thinking about this beautiful family photoshoot from a while ago. Where fields and flowers formed the most beautiful backdrop and gentle moments of life and mothering unfolded.

These photographs feel to me like they’re from another time. Nostalgic and soft, grainy and honest. Just the way I love to shoot.
